Anchor Club

In its simplest terms, the Council’s Anchor Club is a group of both members, non-members, and businesses who have donated $100 or more to support the needs of Council’s four adopted ships and to providing care packages to forward to deployed military.

Throughout the year a list of all Anchor Club members is published each month in Council’s newsletter, The Lucky Bag.

Membership in the Anchor Club has more than exceeded expectations and has resulted in the shipment of over 120 care packages to deployed military personnel, with ongoing shipments each month. The “feed-back” or response received from the recipients of these care packages has been very rewarding.

Anchor Club funds are available to support the needs of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreational Departments aboard Council’s adopted ships, including TV sets and sports and athletic equipment. Council’s ship liaisons stand “at-the-ready” to provide help as needed to each ship’s Family Support Group.

Members or friends of the military who wish to support this effort through a donation of $100 or more may contact the Navy League office at 355-7557 and request more information about becoming a member of THE ANCHOR CLUB.
