DEPLOYMENT DOLLARS PROGRAM
Introduced in 2001 the Richmond Council’s “Deployment Dollars Program” for sailors, marines and coast guardsmen has proved to be a resounding success with service men and women while at sea.

“Deployment Dollars” provides chits to service members that can be redeemed in the ship's store while the ship is on deployment. Under the Richmond Council’s program, chits are valued at $5 and one is given away in a daily drawing, usually at roll call, while the ship is underway. If Marines are embarked an additional chit is given to a Marine.
The Council provides “Deployment Dollars” to the following ships:
|
USS Normandy
USS Carter Hall
USCGC Northland
USCGC Legare
USS Carr
|
USS Oak Hill
USS Ashland
USS Nassau
USS Donald Cook
USS Winston Churchill
